Loïc Devaux (25) creates a colourful, alienating universe in which he plays with icons and people originating from the popular culture surrounding him.

He does so in a language of forms entirely his own: patterns or monochromatic backgrounds in acrylic place his figures in a world of imagination. The figures themselves become loving, naive caricatures that are outlined, giving them a cartoonish aura of importance and evoking a sense of abstraction.
